Hello, I am the Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo) at Colmers Farm Primary School and feel privileged to work in partnership with you as parents, the experts on your children.
As SENDCo I will be working closely with staff across the school to remove barriers to learning and to ensure that the curriculum and school experience of pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) is personalised, fair, ambitious, accessible, inclusive, empowering and enabling. To do this, I will lead on ensuring high quality teaching and evidence-based strategies/approaches for pupils with SEND are at the heart of every classroom. I hope to celebrate the very best of what we offer here and ensure it positively impacts every learner we teach. I understand that there is a great deal of anxiety at this time for families of children and young people with SEND and we are grateful for the flexibility and resilience you have already shown; adapting with remarkable strength and optimism to rapid change in highly uncertain times.
As a team, we will continue to work diligently with moral purpose, to ensure your children and their diverse range of strengths and needs are put at the heart of all we do here at Colmers Farm Primary School.
Mrs. L. Evans
